Yoga plays a prime role in the prevention of coronavirus. Nowadays, in the pandemic situation to increase immunity, these asanas are needful for children. With more immunity power, children will feel easy to survive in the current situation. When they have strong immunity, then nothing does matter with any infection. If it may be viral and bacterial, the child will stay protected and healthy. Follow these yoga techniques helps boost immunity for children.

Pranayama

Khand Pranayama

This Pranayama is a breathing technique. “Khand” means part. This breathing exercise is the breaking up of the breath into two parts. Without holding your breath, divide breathe into two equal parts while you are inhaling and exhaling in two parts. It is the most high-powered and dynamic pranayama technique.

While you breathe in two parts both, inhalation and exhalation, it is called Dwikhand Pranayama. It is the variation of this Pranayama.

The benefits of Khand Pranayama are;

  1. Strengthen lung power.
  2. Increases lifespan.
  3. Decreases fast-age.
  4. It solves your respiratory problems.

Children with the age of 3 can practice Khand Pranayama. This breathing technique is also beneficial for runners, athletes, mountain climbers to increase their performance capacity.

Kapal Bhati

Kapal means skull & Bhati means shining. So, the Kapal Bhati breathing exercise implies a skull-shining breathing exercise. In this technique, normally inhale and exhale with a short, forceful breath. The Kapal Bhati has surprising power. This breathing is well-connected with our emotional and mental state. 

The benefits of Kapal Bhati are;

  1.  This helps with weight loss.
  2. It makes the lungs stronger.
  3. This pranayam clears the energy channels.
  4. This exercise is beneficial for diabetes.
  5. It increases blood circulation.
  6. Increases Digestive Functioning.
  7. It reduces Cholesterol.
  8. The exercise empowers the nervous system.
  9. It cools the mind.

Anulom Vilom

Anulom Vilom is a relaxation breathing exercise. In Anulom Vilom, first, close the right nostril with the thumb, at the same time, inhale into the left nostril, close it. Then, breathe out through the right nostril.

Next, inhale by your right nostril, close it. Then, exhale by your left nostril. Practice the same process.

The benefits of practicing Anulom Vilom are;

  1. It gives an immediate calming effect.
  2. This exercise helps for better sleep.
  3. It is beneficial for your cardiovascular and respiratory systems.
  4. This technique is also most useful for every aspect of health.
  5. The skin develops by doing this breathing exercise.
  6. It may give some benefits for the eyes.

Yoga Postures

Adomukhiswanasna

Follow the steps;

  1. To start this pose, straight your knees by upraising the hips up.
  2. Place palms bottom the shoulders and knees under the hips.
  3. Reshape your feet to form a “V” shape.
  4. Hold this pose for few seconds.

Balasana (Child’s Pose)

Follow the steps;

  1. Seat on the mat.
  2. Then kneel on a mat by sitting on heels.
  3. Inhale and exhale as you do.
  4. Keep your forehead down.
  5. Keep your pelvis on the heels.

Padahastasana

     Follow the steps;

  1. Down your head, fold your upper body.
  2. Bend knees slowly.
  3. Place your palms next to the feet.
  4. Hold this pose for some time.

Paschimottanasana

Follow the steps;

  1. Seat on the ground.
  2. Straight both your legs ahead.
  3. Exhale when you bend forward.
  4. Hold your toes with your fingers.

 Jal Dhyan (Water Meditation)

 Jal Dhyan is of two types. The first one is by drinking water. The next one is that seat on meditation in water such as in a pond, lake, etc. When you drink water will drink by sitting.

The children should include meditation & pranayama practice in their day-to-day life routine. The breathing technique will help the children being calm. It is also most essential to creating the best defence mechanism system. Surya Tratak is also a powerful technique that children can practice. By practicing these postures and techniques, children can develop their Défense mechanisms. Therefore, these asanas keep your children safe from coronavirus.
